Higher ground (autumn 2021)

During this autumn tour Jong Metropole visits the (pop) music venues in major Dutch cities. Led by different conductors, the young students rehearse for one week, and then give a tour of three to four concerts. During this tour, the orchestra's most outstanding talent receives the Keep an Eye Outstanding Talent Award. 

Led by conductor Ansgar Striepens and Vera Keijsers and with singer Michelle David as soloist, the orchestra will in Higher ground explore the traditions and new forms of R&B, soul and funk.
