To all students of violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, horn, harp, percussion (classical/jazz), piano/keyboard, guitar (jazz), drums, double bass (jazz)/bass guitar
From March 31st to April 3rd, auditions for Jong Metropole 2025 will take place at the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep in Hilversum. You can audition for both the summer and fall tours. Registration is now open and closes on March 3rd.

Audition Dates & Application
The auditions will take place from March 31st to April 3rd at the MCO Hilversum.
• Live auditions of 10-15 minutes per candidate
• No preselection, no video auditions allowed
• Members of the Metropole Orchestra will be in the jury for all instruments.

If you apply, we assume you will be available for both projects.

Project Details 2025
Summer Tour ‘The Best Of Metropole’ conducted by Jochen Neuffer
• Dates: July 28th to August 8th, 2025
• Concerts during Muziekzomer Gelderland, Caprera Bloemendaal
• The JM will perform highlights from the MO archives, e.g., arrangements/compositions by Bob Brookmeyer, Bill Dobbins, Michael Abene, Jim McNeely, Maria Schneider, Vince Mendoza, and others. Suzan Veneman, winner of the Rogier van Otterloo Award 2024, will compose a commissioned work.
Winter Tour ‘Lo van Gorp sings: Icons of the 70s and 80s’ conducted by Sam Gale
• Dates: December 7th to 14th, 2025
• Concerts in Utrecht, Tilburg, Rotterdam
• Under the direction of young conductor Sam Gale, Lo van Gorp will sing songs by artists like Sting and Paul Simon, supplemented with instrumental pieces that stylistically complement the program, and where there is room for instrumental solos by orchestra musicians.
