After an incredibly successful autumn tour, you can once again participate in the Jong Metropole in 2024! This orchestra brings together talented musicians from both the classical and jazz worlds: a unique ensemble that unites these two musical realms.

Students from the Jazz and Classical Departments of Dutch conservatories can now register for the 2024 edition of Jong Metropole. Registration for auditions (for both summer and autumn tours) is open until January 26, 2024. Auditions will take place from February 26th to 29th, 2024, at the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep in Hilversum. Thanks to the unwavering and heartwarming support of the Keep an Eye Foundation and the Cultuurfonds, and with the efforts of the Metropole Orkest, the Nationaal Jeugd Jazz Orkest, and Nationale Jeugdorkesten Nederland, two concert projects will be organized again this year.

The Jong Metropole summer project in 2024 will focus on South American atmospheres! Conductor Jacomo Bairlos has been invited to lead the orchestra for this project. For the autumn project, conductor Simon Dobson has been re-invited due to his successful and inspiring role in the autumn edition of 2023.

We are incredibly delighted and proud that the Cultuurfonds, along with the Keep an Eye Foundation and the funds Polak-van Weel Fonds, Fonds Angela E., Lievense Baan Fonds, and Jonge Musici Fonds, will make Jong Metropole possible again in 2024!
