Jong Metropole is composed of the top musicians from Dutch conservatories. This winter, the orchestra presents the dazzling show 'Soul Revolution' featuring soul singer Steffen Morrison.
Born in Suriname, the soul singer has drawn inspiration from musical legends like Otis Redding and James Brown for years. Morrison's musical background is a colorful blend of influences to which he has added his own ingredients. With his impressive presence and music, he manages to captivate a broad audience. Together with the energy of the talents of Jong Metropole and conductor/arranger Simon Dobson, the collective immerses itself in the depth of soul music to touch the listener right in the heart.
Jong Metropole is a collaboration between the National Youth Orchestras Netherlands (NJON), the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NJJO), and the Metropole Orchestra (MO), consisting of the finest musicians from Dutch conservatories. In this orchestra, young talented musicians from both the classical and jazz worlds come together in a unique ensemble that bridges both musical spheres. Made possible in part by het Cultuurfonds and Keep an Eye Foundation.
