Jochen Neuffer
Conductor, composer, arranger and pianist Jochen Neuffer (Berlin) is well known at the Metropole Orchestra. As a conductor, he has performed several times with the orchestra, including with Wolf Lady Sharon Kovacs in 2015 and in the summer of 2018 when he visited the Netherlands as musical director of Bryan Ferry's orchestra tour. In 2019, he conducted the celebration concert Our Story - Celebrating 15 Years of Tomorrowland in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, where he accompanied DJs Armin van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Tiësto and Afrojack conducting the Metropole Orchestra. In addition to conducting the Metropole Orchestra, he has worked with them as a composer and arranger. One of the highlights was Prom 45: Mississippi Goddam - A Homage to Nina Simone at the BBC Proms in 2019, featuring Lisa Fischer and Ledisi and the Metropole led by Jules Buckley.

Neuffer studied at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, where he studied piano, jazz composition, arrangement and orchestral conducting. After graduating, he worked as an arranger for an impressive number of artists including Gregory Porter, Lalah Hathaway, Lisa Fischer, Donny McCaslin, José James, Cory Wong, Roberto Fonseca, Ledisi, Jazzmeia Horn, Lianne La Havas, Trijntje Oosterhuis, Thomas Dybdahl, Helen Schneider and Lilian Vieira.
In addition to the Metropole Orchestra, he worked as a composer, arranger and conductor for The Quincy Jones Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, WDR Big Band, SWR Big Band, BBC Proms and Big Band of the Bundeswehr. From 2010 to 2017 he directed productions for Disney, Cameron Mackintosh and Udo Jürgens.
Together with the Tobias Becker Big Band, he released the album Augmented Reality in 2018 with original compositions for big band.
